We're very proud of the awards Carillion Wines has received. As well as trophies and medals for individual wines, a point of pride is being recognised as a 2023 Halliday Wine Companion '5 Red Star Winery'.
This rating marks as an "outstanding winery regularly producing wines of exemplary quality and typicity. Will have at least two wines rated at 95 points or above, and has typically held a 5-star rating for the previous three years or more".

We're pleased to announce we've won the trophy for Best Mature Red wine at the recent 2022 Orange Wine Show.
Our Carillion Vineyard in Orange NSW is located on the slopes of Mt Canobolas, an extinct volcano.
Only made in years of outstanding quality, ‘The Volcanics’ is the pinnacle of what our Orange vineyard has to offer. The cool climate and high altitude, together with volcanic clay loams on light-medium clays, provide the base for growing exceptional wine grapes.

A floral nose belies the richness and depth of the palate of this cool-climate cabernet sauvignon.
Notes of blackberry and cassis are married with bold tannins from its extended maturation in French oak.
Over time the tannins have softened, but the structure remains.
