You immediately get hit with a well-balanced hit of kerosene and toasted marshmallow. The palate is rich and complex. A minerally tension holds all this together beautifully. Pops of lemon pith all the way to the end.
A champion wine in its youth and still displaying multiple complex flavours. Aromas of Honeydew, struck match and toasted spices. The palate has licks of pear and green apple surrounded by creamy layers and a splash of oak still. Saline acidity provides freshness and structure
2014 has been touted by many as the best vintage since 1965 and our flagship Shiraz, the Fenestella’ Shiraz, showcases this extraordinary vintage.
A multitude of complexing aromas including Plum jam, tobacco leaf and dried sage. Tannins are still lively, providing a bit of crunch. Dark cherries, savoury mince and subtle aniseed are the base foundation of flavours. The seamless acid balances the structure which is soft, yet unwavering.
So much to unpack here still rich “cherry ripe” like aromas with pops of tobacco leaf and hint of mint. Flavours are lifted, with intense black fruit, cigar box and chocolate. Tannins have a real presence and a graphite like texture showing typicity. These wines seem to live forever.”
